I was so excited to find this at the Groceries Co-Op across the street from the agency I am interning at as an MSW student. I love the co-op concept and I enjoy walking over from my agency for snacks and drinks when I need a break.
This beverage has rose oil in it. I really enjoyed the light floral quality that the rose oil added. Rose oil has antidepressant, antiviral, laxative and aphrodisiac properties. (organic facts.net)
It is a carbonated beverage made with ginger root so it relaxes the digestive system.
Here are the ingredients:
Ingredients: Carbonated Water, Clarified Lemon Juice from Concentrate (10%), Sugar, Glucose Syrup, Fermented Ginger Root Extract (water, glucose syrup, ginger root, yeast), Pear Juice Concentrate, Natural Flavourings (lemon, orange), Tartaric Acid, Colour: grape skin extract, Bulgarian Rose Oil
I did not know what tartaric acid was when I purchased this drink. According to acidpedia.org, tartaric acid occurs naturally in some plants including apples and avocados. Tartaric acid aids in digestion and has anit-imflammatory and antioxidant properties. I am glad that this is a safe ingredient.
Overall I enjoyed this beverage and the health benefits it offers!
